The Each day Grind: What non-fantasy, non-licensed setting would you prefer to see for an MMO?

Mar 20, 2022

Guns and ships.

Bear in mind when Elyon was Ascent: Infinite Realm and appeared like a game any person on this planet may need needed to play? Pepperidge Farms remembers. So do I. I used to be truly  within the game at one level when it appeared like a bizarre distinctive steampunk exploration, which is one thing that we’re sadly missing in quite a lot of locations. It’s actually bizarre how the game opted to make itself much less fascinating over the course of improvement… however that’s truly not what I’m interested by this morning.

See, I believe lots of people would like to have a steampunk-style MMO. I do know that I personally would love a very superior transhumanist MMO, too, or one thing set in a non-European fantasy setting. (Props to ArenaNet for exploring that!) I can think about wanting a deep-sea exploration game, or a cosmic horror MMO, and even one thing extra on the market. So what non-fantasy, non-licensed setting would you prefer to see for an MMO?

Each morning, the Massively Overpowered writers crew up with mascot Mo to ask MMORPG gamers pointed questions concerning the massively multiplayer on-line roleplaying style. Seize a mug of your most well-liked beverage and take a stab at answering the query posed in at this time’s Each day Grind!
