The Openado, inaugurated in Liège in January 2011, is a service of the Department of Social Affairs of the Province of Liège open free to children & adolescents from 0 to 25 years old and their families as well as social workers and educational teams dealing with young people in difficulty.
The Openado is a friendly place of reception, listening, information, prevention and psycho-social support. Its objective is to allow young people and their families to express in complete confidentiality their concerns, their questions and their reflections about any situation related to childhood and adolescence and to find a psycho-social response. relevant medico-social.
In addition to psycho-social work with young people and families, the Openado also offers other activities: prevention actions and discussion spaces, in schools, around various themes (respect for oneself and others , feelings, self-esteem, cooperation, happiness learning, bullying, …); support for educational teams in carrying out projects within their school; the organization of conferences, parent workshops and happiness capsules (exchanges between parents and children starting and ending around a book, on the basis of a constituted group).
Our multidisciplinary team is made up of social workers, psychologists, criminologists, educators and a doctor-psychiatrist.
In order to offer a local service to as many citizens as possible in the province of Liège, the Openado has so far developed in 12 municipalities : Seraing, Herstal, Hannut, Theux, Herve, Welkenraedt, Saint-Nicolas, Ans, Chaudfontaine, Saint-Georges and more recently in the municipalities of Visé and Ouffet.
