It is recommended against bloating, hypertension, headaches, coughs, angina, etc.
The combination of the two
Ginger and lemon bring the benefits of each, but enter into synergy to multiply their effects on the body.
What are the benefits of the ginger and lemon mixture?
The ginger and lemon combination is often part of the diet of people who want to lose weight.
Indeed, they both have slimming properties to help burn body fat.
In addition, ginger improves the effectiveness of leptin, also called “satiety hormone”, which is a digestive hormone that regulates fat stores in the body, as well as appetite, by controlling the feeling of hunger. At the same time, it inhibits the production of cortisol which regulates lipid metabolism.
For more information, see our article on how to lose weight with ginger.
For its part, lemon stimulates the elimination of waste and fat from the body, promotes digestion, detoxifies, etc.
The combination of ginger and lemon therefore helps to lose weight naturally and in a healthier way. For this action, it is advisable to take ginger and lemon in the form of an infusion.
Detoxifying and purifying action, strengthening the metabolism
The combination of ginger and lemon has antibacterial, antiviral, diuretic, antiseptic and thinning properties.
The mixture is therefore credited with excellent detoxifying properties, in particular to help the body purify and cleanse the blood by getting rid of waste and toxins.
Also, ginger and lemon are two foods that help fight against bad cholesterol, and stimulate blood circulation. This association also makes it possible to fight directly against atherosclerosis, that is to say the loss of elasticity of the arteries due to sclerosis, caused by the deposit of fat on the arteries.
Thus, the cleansed organism is strengthened, and becomes more solid against possible infections or diseases, for a better general state of health.
This action is also beneficial for smokers, because tobacco pollutes our body through blood, and lemon ginger will help the body get rid of these toxins.
Action on the immune system and general health
Ginger and lemon have many benefits on the immune system: antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antiviral, warming, etc.
They prevent, relieve, even cure all winter ailments: colds, colds, coughs, sore throats, etc.
It is particularly effective in eliminating coughs, because in addition to the virtues that have been mentioned, it is a powerful expectorant which improves the expulsion of mucus accumulated in the lungs, which is ideal in the event of mucous cough.
To do this, you just need to regularly consume ginger and lemon teas and you will spend the winter without any problems, or else make a syrup based on honey, ginger and lemon (recipe below).
Incidentally, this herbal tea will also take care of your vocal cords and possibly find your voice in case of aphonia.
Action on digestion
Ginger and lemon work in total synergy to facilitate intestinal transit and protect the entire digestive system. They reduce gastric acidity, stimulate the enzymes produced by the liver and the pancreas.
In case of fatigue
Ginger is renowned for its energizing properties, mixing it with lemon in a drink is a great way to start the day in an energetic way. Be careful, because too much ginger can interfere with sleep !
